Fremont played its first league match of the spring season on Wednesday evening when they traveled to Muskegon to take on the Eagles of Oakridge. Although the Packers had a decisive shot advantage they simply couldn't find the back of the net. Fremont outshot Oakridge 10-3 but in the end Kate Utzinger of Oakridge had the goal that made the different. It was 1-0 at half and the game ended that was as well. Oakridge goalkeeper Cadence Veen made 10 saves while Kate Mellema from Fremont made 2 saves. Fremont falls to 1-2-1 overall and 0-1 in the conference while Oakridge improves to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
