The Newaygo girls' soccer team visited the Packers of Fremont on a sunny Tuesday afternoon. The game was a tight one from beginning to end. Fremont's Mia Clemence opened the scoring off 20 minutes in to the match off of a corner kick. The goal stood until the half. 7 minutes into the second half McCaiden Riensora knotted the game at 1-1. Although there were other opportunities for both teams, neither could find the back of the net. Fremont outshot Newaygo 6-4. Fremont's Hallie Snyder made 5 saves in net while Newaygo's Barbara Toth made 3 of her own. Fremont moved to 1-1-1 overall and Newaygo to 0-0-1.
