The Coyotes of Reed City traveled down to Fremont to play the Packers in the first round of the CSAA tournament on Monday.  The match turned out to be a battle.  Fremont scored the first two goals of the match.  Lili Isak had both goals and Kaiya Flores added one of the assists.  Reed City's Paige Lundquist put the visitors on the board before the half making the halftime score 2-1 in favor of the home team.  Although Fremont had chances they were not able to finish in the second half.  However, Lundquist added her second goal and tying the match.  It was 2-2 at the end of regulation.  After the first 10 minute overtime the score remained 2-2.  Fremont's Mia Witte finally broke the tie 2 minutes into the second overtime.  Riley Chase slotted Witte the ball and she netted the game-winner.  Fremont outshot Reed City 27-9.  Fremont's Macey Powers made 7 saves in net while Reed City's Miriah Hodges made 24 saves.  Fremont improved to 10-6 overall and 6-3 in the conference.  Reed City falls to 8-5-2 overall and 3-5-1 in the conference.  Fremont will play Big Rapids in the CSAA semifinal on Wednesday while Reed City will play Kent City.
