The Fremont girls' soccer team traveled to Shelby on Wednesday evening to take on the Tigers in a nonconference match. The game was tight with opportunities for both teams. The score was knotted at 0-0 at the end of the first half. Lili Isak finally broke the tie with 20 minutes to play on an assist from Mia Clemence. Clemence added the final goal 2 minutes later and that score stood. The Packers defeated the Tigers 2-0. Fremont outshot Shelby 10-6. The Packers' Macey Powers made 6 saves in net while the Tigers' keeper Desirae Melchor made 8 saves for the home team. Fremont improves to 8-6 overall and 5-3 in the conference while Shelby falls to 4-13-2 overall and 2-5 in the conference.
