The Muskegon Orchard View girls' soccer team made the trip to Fremont on Thursday afternoon to play the Packers of Fremont. The match was tied 0-0 at the half but O.V. netted the first goal of the match just 2 minutes into the second half. Nazalia Mendiola took the ball from a Fremont defender and did the rest herself. The 1-0 scored remained until Mendiola again scored an unassisted goal with 9:00 to play in the game. The 2-0 score stood. O.V. outshot Fremont 11-8 in the match. Fremont's keeper Macey Powers made 9 saves and OV's keeper Elizabeth Estelle made 8 saves. O.V. moves to 2-1 overall and the Packers fall to 2-2.
