The Packers from Fremont made the trip to Howard City for a nonconference game to start the season on Wednesday afternoon. The play was sloppy but the Packers came out on top. Fremont's Deagan Klimek tallied the Packers' first goal of the season on a ball from Killian Prewitt. Tri-County answered when Andrew Lenon put a bending ball past the arms of Fremont's keeper Caleb Vissia. The score remained 1-1 at the half. Chaz Miller put the Packers up for good when he touched the ball by the Viking keeper Austin Lenon. Ian Berry finished off the scoring for the Packers when he headed a corner kick in from Prewitt. Fremont outshot the Vikings 17-3. Austin Lenon made 14 saves for Tri-County while Caleb Vissia made 2 saves for the Packers. Fremont moves to 1-0 overall and Tri-County falls to 0-1.
