The Cardinals of Big Rapids traveled to Fremont Saturday morning for the CSAA conference tournament final match.  Big Rapids struck just 3 minutes into the match on a penalty kick by Aden Herron.  Several minutes later Fremont knotted the game on a shot from Lane Converse and assist by Conner Roesler.  That score stood for 15 minutes until Converse struck again, this time being assisted by Waden Woods.  Less than a minute later Herron tied the match for Big Rapids and it was 2-2 at the half.  Both teams had opportunities in the second half but couldn't seem to capitalize.  Grant Vissia was taken down in the box and finished the following penalty kick.  That goal stood as the Packers won 3-2.  Fremont outshot Big Rapids 10-7.  Fremont's goalkeeper Joe Kortge made 5 saves and Big Rapids' keeper Owen Gammons made 7 saves.  Fremont won the conference with a 10-0 conference record.  Big Rapids tied Tri-County for second with a 7-3 conference record.  Fremont moves to 13-1-2 overall and Big Rapids falls to 8-4-1 overall.
