Newaygo traveled to Fremont Wednesday afternoon for the CSAA semifinal match. Fremont started the scoring with a goal by Grant Vissia from Tee Ward. Fremont's David Wachter followed that up with three unanswered goals closing the door on Newaygo. Vissia assisted on one of those goals. Fremont outshot Newaygo 17-1. Joe Kortge made one save for the Packers. Fremont moves to 12-1-2 overall and 11-0 in the conference. Newagyo dropped to 5-5 overall and 4-5 in the conference. Fremont will play the winner of the Big Rapids vs. Tri-County match on Saturday and Newaygo will play the loser of that same match also on Saturday.
