The Grant Tigers came to Fremont to play the Packers in the first round of the CSAA tournament Monday afternoon. Grant struck first on a goal by Tomas Charles. Fremont answered with single goals from David Wachter, Braiden McDonald and Carson Herman and a hat trick by Marcus Klimek. Klimek, Logan Nelson and Wachter also tallied assists. Fremont outshot Grant 16-5. Joe Kortge made 2 saves in net for Fremont and Carter Miller also made 3 saves for the Packers. Christian Cortez made 10 saves for the Tigers. Fremont moves to 11-1-2 overall and 10-0 in the conference. Grant fell to 1-10 overall and 1-9 in the conference. Fremont advances to play the winner of the Newaygo vs. Kent City match on Wednesday.
