The Fremont Packers battled Lakeview on Monday afternoon in the first round of the conference tournament. Fremont ended up advancing in the winners bracket on the score of 5-1. Anselmo Velazco scored the Packers first goal and David Wachter added the next four. Grant Vissia and Riccardo Lapertosa tallied assists on two of Wachter's goals. Ben Grant scored Lakeview's lone goal. Fremont outshot Lakeview 15-4. Fremont will play the winner of the Big Rapids-Reed City match and Lakeview will face the loser of that match. Fremont moves to 11-3-4 overall and 6-0-2 in the conference. Lakeview falls to 4-9-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the conference.
