The Kent City Eagles traveled to Fremont Tuesday afternoon to face the Packers in the first conference match of the season.  It was a slow start for both teams but the Packers finally got on the board with 20 minutes left in the first half.  Lane Converse sent a ball to Ed Hallberg's head making the score 1-0.  4 minutes later Converse finished a ball of his own from Carter Moon.  The Eagles answered just a few minutes later on a set play from Jarek Jaramillo.  The scored was 2-1 at the half.  Fremont came out strong in the second half scoring a minute in when Wyatt VanBoven sent a ball to Carter Moon.  Fremont's 4th goal came on a PK from David Wachter.  The final goal of the match was sent from the Packer's Grant Vissia to the foot of Wyatt VanBoven for the finish.  The final score was Fremont 5 - Kent City 1.  Fremont outshot the Eagles 22-7.  Joe Kortge made 6 saves in net for the Packers and Carson Synder made 17 saves for the Eagles.  Kent City dropped to 2-1 and 0-1 in the conference while the Packers improved to 2-2 and 1-0 in the conference.
