Portage Invitational

Mid to high 40s – sun, clouds, rain, rotate, + a little wind

The athletes performed well on a day that had all kinds of weather.  We had lots of Prs and Srs as the runners took advantage of the good competition. 

The Varsity girls led things off with Linnea Paige (So)-31^st and Joelle Patten (So)-155^th turning in season records.  Rachel Maddox (11)-188^th and Kira Manchip (Fr)-227 both had big Prs getting out a little quicker than they usually do.  The girl placed 33^rd with 795 pts.  There were 45 teams in the race and 297 runners.

The Varsity boys followed the girls lead placing 12^th with 387 pts.  Sean Pettis led the way in 3^rd, with Carter Sherman (Jr)-46^th, Cole Lowery (Jr) 114, Evan Christoffersen (Fr)-184^th, and Mossen Green (Fr)-216^th all running Prs.  Chase Lowery (So)-146^th had a breakthrough race for the season turning in season record.

In the boys and girls JV race Jessie Kendziorski, Maggie Romero, Andy Krapp, Brandon Rassmussen, and Jon Sampablo all ran Prs.

We are hoping to see continued improvement through the rest of the season.
