The boys responded to a fast start by the competition by moving up well in the 2^nd mile to take control of the race and win with 36 points to Ludington’s 58.  Carter Sherman (Fr) made a big improvement to break 17 with a 16:56 to place 4^th and record the only PR on the team.  If he continues to close the gap to Pettis (Sr) that will really help the team.  Our 1-4 split looked better at 33 seconds, but we had a minute drop from 4 to 5.  It was a good meet for the boys and puts us in the driver’s seat for the League Championship.

The girls placed 4^th with 90 points, with Elise Pfeiffer (Jr) and Rachel Maddox (So) recording PRs.  Ariana Tanner (Fr) showed that she can run consistently in the 22s with her 2^nd meet in that time range.  I was impressed with the girls moving up throughout the race.  They all looked to have a strong 2^nd and 3^rd mile.  Many are also improving on their League placing compared to previous meets.  Our 1-4 split was 3:10, a big improvement over the early season.  Our 1-5 split was 5:29 which we are hoping to improve.
