Fremont traveled to Whitehall Thursday evening and came home with a hard fought 30-21 victory. The scoring was very slow for the first three quarters. Fremont trailed 3-2 after the first quarter and 7-4 at halftime. Both of the Packer baskets were by Olivia Hansen. The Packers then outscored the hosts 8-4 in the third quarter to tie the game at 12-12. Scoring then picked up in the fourth with Fremont holding an 18-9 advantage, led by Lily VandenBerg with 6 of her game-high 8 points in that quarter. She also had 7 rebounds for the game.

Mia Clemence had 7 points, and Jessica Bennett added 6 points. Hansen tallied 11 rebounds to go along with her 4 points. The win was the third in a row for the Packers and improved their overall record to 8-13, 5-6 in the WMC Lakes Division. The loss dropped Whitehall to 10-10 overall, 3-8 in the WMC Lakes, 

Coach Zerlaut -- "Our defense and rebounding in the first half kept us in the game. We got 19 shots and had 9 offensive rebounds, but we just couldn't put it in the basket. I was pleased with our girls' perseverance to keep battling on each possession, despite that frustration. It wasn't pretty tonight, but we found a way to win."
