Fremont hosted the Spartans of Mason County Central on Monday night. The Spartans won 42-30. MCC held a 16-4 advantage after the first quarter, 25-16 at the half, and 34-21 after three quarters. Fremont trimmed the lead to 7 points during the second quarter, but were not able to get any closer the rest of the game. Fremont finished the game 7-46 (15%) from the field. MCC shot 16-63 (25%). 

Fremont was led by Jessica Bennett's 13 points and 7 rebounds. Olivia Hansen added 7 rebounds. MCC was led by Mallory Miller's 9 points, while Grace Weinert added 8. The Packers fell to 4-9 overall, 2-4 in the WMC Lakes. MCC improved to 9-1 overall, 6-1 in the WMC Rivers.

Coach Zerlaut -- "We had some early turnovers that turned into points for MCC that put us in a hole, but otherwise I was pleased with our effort tonight, especially on the defensive end of the floor. They are a good basketball team that has been winning a lot of games, and by big margins. We competed well, but we struggled to put the ball in the basket which ultimately prevented us from getting back in the game."
