Fremont hosted Tri County on senior night Friday night. The Vikings used a big fourth quarter to claim a 48-38 victory. The Packers jumped out to a 9-0 lead quickly in the first, but then struggled to score for much of the rest of the game. They led 11-4 after one quarter, 18-17 at halftime, and 29-28 after three quarters. However, Tri County held a 20-9 advantage in the fourth.

Fremont was led by Mia Witte and Haley Zerlaut with 10 points each. Zerlaut added 6 assists and 6 steals. Kaitlynn Bennett added 6 points and 10 rebounds. Tri County was led by Mary Siple with 22 points and Ashley Johnson with 12. The Packers fell to 2-16 on the season. They host Chippewa Hills on Tuesday.

Coach Zerlaut -- "Our girls played with great effort tonight, and things looked good early. We jumped out quickly with some made shots and solid defense. Then it seemed there was a lid on the basket. We struggled to make shots and began turning it over too much. The girls continued to play with great effort for 32 minutes, which I am proud of. We just didn't score it enough and once we fell behind TC did a great job of taking control of the tempo, forcing us to foul, and made their free throws."
