Fremont traveled to Grant Tuesday evening for a conference matchup up with the Tigers. The Packers jumped out to a 9-4 lead, but Grant went on a 10-0 run to end the quarter to make it 14-9. They then extended that lead with a 12-7 advantage in the second quarter to lead 26-16 at the half. A 16-6 advantage for the hosts in the third quarter put them up 20 at 42-22 before a 21-15 Packer advantage in the fourth quarter set the final score at 57-43.

Fremont was led by Haley Zerlaut with 21 points and 3 assists. Kaitlyn Bennett had 11 points and 9 rebounds. Grant had a balanced scoring attack with Chloe Chase scoring 12, Sara Arends scoring 11, and Julie Ashbaugh and Jaycee Rider each scoring 10.

Coach Zerlaut -- "We were without three key players tonight, but I thought the other girls stepped up and played well. We had three girls from the JV team play an extra quarter and contribute good minutes. Sydney Moon moved from her reserve role to a starter tonight and had 6 rebounds. We gave up a couple runs in the game where we couldn't make shots, turned it over a bit too much, and gave up some offensive rebounds and put backs. Overall, we competed well, but it wasn't enough."
