Fremont 51  Reed City 48

The last time we played Reed City we won by 27, but they are very young and have improved tremendously.  They have wins vs. Big Rapids and at Grant.  Coach Jesse Kailing always gets the most out of his kids.  We were down after the first quarter 17-13 and went into halftime down 31-22.  Things got worse in the third as we went down 10 early.   Then after getting a few buckets our leading scorer Braiden McDonald picked up his 4th foul with 4 minutes to still go in the 3rd quarter with us down 6.  We have heavily relied on Braiden so this could have been a bad turning point in the game.  Instead we started playing with great energy, swarming on defense and Joshua Zerfas took over the game for the next 9 minutes.  He assisted on two scores and then scored 9 straight points to end the third and we were up 41-36.  Joshua then scored the next 5 for us and we were up 11.  Reed City made a run though as we missed 5 of 7 free throws and had a few turnovers.  Lane Converse made 1 of 2 with 1.1 seconds to go and a desperation 3 by Reed City to tie the game went wide right to end it.  Joshua Zerfas led us with 14 points, 7 assists and 6 steals.  Braiden McDonald had 9 points, Payton Mansfield had 9 points, Martin Curiel and Lane Converse each had 5 points and Jordan McDonald playing his first game in 11 days had 4 points and 5 blocked shots.  We are 11-4, 10-2.
