Fremont 80  Howard City Tri-County 49

We were able to secure our 9th straight win vs a hot Tri-County team that had beaten Newaygo and Grant this week and had won 3 of the their last 4 games.  We started hot taking a 9-2 lead early and we were ahead 24-11 after the first quarter.  6 different players scored for us in the first quarter but Braiden McDonald started red hot with 13 first quarter points including our first 9 points.  After building a 36-20 second quarter lead Tri County hit 4 consecutive 3 point shots to close the gap at halftime, Fremont 36- TC 32.  Tri-County hit 7  triples in the second quarter.  We regrouped and outscored Tri-County 23-8 in the third and 21-9 in the 4th.  All 11 players who dressed scored for Fremont.  We were again down players with 2 out. We have only had one day this season when everyone was able to play or practice, but this group is resilient and brings a positive attitude to every game.   Braiden McDonald had a huge night with 32 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals.  Martin Curiel had 11 points, Joshua Zerfas had 11 assists and 5 rebounds.  Joey DeLong had 5 points and 6 steals.  Payton Mansfield had 8 points to go with his 7 rebounds.  Lane Converse had 6, Elijah Shears, Logan Nelson, and  Chase Rasmussen had 4 each and Johnny Rodriguez and Tegan Reichert-Slater all had 2.  We are 10-2, 9-1 in league.
