Tonight still showed that we are a young team but there are signs of growth. Kage Atwood was explosive on both sides of the football. Atwood answered big to Big Rapids' first touchdown with a 75+ yard kick off return putting the Packers ahead 8-6 early in the first quarter. In the second half, Owen Hertel showed his strength as he powered in a run for the score and a great pass from Packers quarterback Khai Noordyk to Seth Zerlaut for the 2 point conversion. The young JV Packer defense struggled to contain the Big Rapids quarterback all night.
